It seems like the critically acclaimed indie RPG Sea of Stars has reached an impressive milestone since its release back in August 2023. The 90’s inspired RPG has reported gained at least four million players within the past couple of months which is an impressive feat for an indie game. Sea of Stars was developed by Sabotage Studios and released across multiple game systems and was also named the “Best Independent Game” at The Game Awards 2023. Seeing that Sea of Stars reportedly has over four million players it would indicate that the sales figures for this game are pretty good despite Sabotage Studios not making an official announcement about them. During its opening week Sea of Stars had reported reached at least 250,000 in sales but there was never an official announcement about the game breaking over one million in sales. Sea of Stars was a retro inspired RPG that stood out in a year full of high profile role-playing games like Baldur’s Gate 3, Diablo IV, Hogwarts Legacy and Final Fantasy XVI.
