The Last of Us Online Multiplayer video game at one point was Naughty Dog’s most highly anticipated video game that everyone was looking forward to seeing. The cancellation of The Last of Us Online Multiplayer game is something that has disappointed many people and also caught many by surprise. The Last of Us Online Multiplayer game was something that Naughty Dog has been working on since 2020. While there was no scheduled time frame for its release the idea is that the Last of Us Online Multiplayer game got scrapped mainly due layoffs that occurred within Naughty Dog along a possibly unfavorable internal review by Bungie in relation to its quality. Its uncertain how close The Last of Us Online Multiplayer was towards being fully complete but its cancellation is not going to kill the momentum the franchise itself currently has right now. The Last of Us television series on Netflix was something that gained mainstream attention earlier in 2023 and we are supposed to get the remastered version of the Last of Us Part II which is suppose to appear on the PlayStation 5 in January 2024. Trying to create a live service online video game for the Last of Us would probably be more trouble than its worth considering some of the structural changes Naughty Dog has undergone this year. The idea of sticking to narrative driven single-player video games is something that Naughty Dog should consider especially since they are very good at it.
