It seems like Grand Theft Auto VI has been attracting a ton of mainstream media attention for better or worse especially following its reveal trailer. Grand Theft Auto VI will be the highly anticipated sequel to the GTA V video game from 2013 and has a budget of over $2 billion. The graphics, voice acting and animation for Grand Theft Auto VI looked very impressive as the trailer was viewed by by more than 93 million people worldwide within 24 hours. Even though, the reveal trailer for GTA VI looked impressive it reception a polarizing reception on social media. While many people enjoyed what RockStar Games had produced in the reveal trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI there were also some people who disliked it so much that they eventually got “Ban GTA6” trending on social media platforms such as X. The people who disliked the trailer for GTA VI were upset about some of the the scenes that were included such as the main protagonist Lucia being seen in a bikini. While the Grand Theft Auto series has been “M” rated for the past two decades it mainly focused more on violence and criminal activity opposed to sex appeal which is something that could arguably serve as somewhat of a distraction from the main story. In the past the main characters in Grand Theft Auto VI has mainly been males and its something that longtime fans of the series have become accustomed too by now. The Bonnie & Clyde dynamic RockStar Games is using for GTA VI is something that is interesting but on the other hand it could turn off many video game geeks and nerds who are hardcore gamers and dislike the concept of romantic relationships being the central focus of a very popular franchise like Grand Theft Auto.
