It seems like the survival horror genre is going through a renaissance especially considering how popular its been throughout the year of 2023. Since the start of 2023 we got to see the releases of Resident Evil 4: Remake, Alan Wake 2 and we are suppose to get a brand new Silent Hill game some in the future. As it currently stands many people are baffled on why Konami has yet to release the Silent Hill 2: Remake. While its very likely that the Silent Hill 2: Remake may not be released until 2024 there have been rumors across the web about a potential film being released sometime next year. Based on what we know we are supposed to get a brand new film called Return to Silent Hill which is supposed to be directed by Christophe Gans. As it currently stands its unclear whether or not the upcoming Silent Hill film is going to be in theaters or if its going to available for a particular streaming platform.It should also be noted that the details for the upcoming Silent Hill film are vague other than plot. Based on what we know this upcoming Silent Hill film looks like its going to be based off of the second Silent Hill game seeing that the character James Sunderland is supposed to be in this movie. Christophe Gans had worked on the Silent Hill movie from 2006 which received a mostly positive reception which gives many people high hopes for this upcoming film in 2024.
