Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid was a 2.5D fighting game that seemingly flew under the radar following its release for multiple game systems back in 2019. The Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid felt very similar to that of Marvel vs Capcom and had a stacked roaster of characters from multiple seasons of the PR series dating back to the 90s. Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid featured many popular heroes and villains from the series including Tommy Oliver, Zordon, Kimberly Hart, Jason Lee Scott, Rita Repulsa, Lord Zedd and Drakkon. The story mode and cutscenes featured in Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid was better than anything you would have seen any other PR game that preceded it and the voice over acting was pretty solid. Even though, the Power Rangers franchise had arguably peaked during the 90’s Battle of the Grid was a game that managed to appeal to a niche audience of gamers and fans who were and still are fans of the series in general. While Power Rangers: Battle of the Grid is arguably one of the best PR games of the past ten to twenty years its questionable on whether or not the game is going to get a direct sequel or spiritual successor sometime in the future. Power Rangers: Battle of the Grid was not necessarily a massive commercial success and was overshadowed by various other fighting titles that came out during the late 2010’s including Dragon Ball FighterZ, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite. Another Power Rangers: Battle of the Grid game seems unlikely at the moment since the developer nWay has not made any major announcements concerning another entry.
