It seems like 2023 has been a year that has been full of nothing but great announcements within the gaming world. While the rumored Devil May Cry anime was something that was announced back in 2022 we finally have a trailer for the highly anticipated anime which is set to appear on Netflix sometime in the future. The Devil May Cry announcement trailer is not too revealing but we do know that the series will focus on Dante as the main character. The animation for the upcoming Devil May Cry looks beautiful and will be produced by Studio Mir and Ari Shankar the same person that worked on the Castlevania anime series which started on Netflix back in 2017. The last time we got to see a Devil May Cry animated series was over fifteen years ago back in 2007 in which the show only got one season. Despite, the presentation of the original Devil May Cry animated series from the 2000’s it was never popular enough to make on Cartoon Network’s Toonami. Its possible that the original Devil May Cry animated series never became popular in America during the late 2000’s due to the cancellation of Toonami back in 2008. Toonami was suffering from low ratings back in the late 00’s and the original Devil May Cry animated series never got much of a chance to really shine in America. Since there are millions of Netflix subscribers across America this upcoming Devil May Cry animated series will definitely be viewed more by both casual and hardcore fans of the series. As it currently stands there is no official release date for the Devil May Cry animated series set to appear on Netflix but many people are expecting it to take place sometime 2024.
