It looks like the Fatal Fury series is officially back after a twenty plus year absence. For those who unaware the latest main installment within the Fatal Fury series was Garou: Mark of the Wolves from 1999 which received great reviews from critics and gaming publications the same year it was released. However, Garou: Mark of the Wolves was overshadowed by many video games on the PS1 back in 1999. The Fatal Fury has been absent for approximately 23 years mainly because SNK wanted to focus more on the King of Fighter series due to the success KOF ’98 had following its release back in the late 90’s. While Fatal Fury games from the 90’s never achieved the same level of commercial success as some of the most recent KOF titles; The City of Wolves game is something that has everyone talking right now. Based on what we know characters such as Terry Bogard and Rock Howard have been confirmed to appear in Fatal Fury: The City of Wolves. While the full roster has yet to be revealed for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves; many are expecting the return of old characters such as: Geese Howard, Joe Higashi and Mai Shiranui to be announced for the game later down the line.
