The Tomb Raider series is one of the most well known and beloved franchises within the gaming industry and has been around for almost 30 years now. Lara Croft is arguably the most female video game character of all-time and has been in numerous games and movies that are famous worldwide. Since its inception back in ’96 the Tomb Raider video game series has managed to sell over 95 million units worldwide across multiple generations of consoles from the mid 90’s onwards. We also got to see three major Tomb Raider films between 2001-2018 with the first movie possibly being the most iconic one due Angelina Jolie playing the role of Lara Croft. Despite, the three movies and all of the video games that we got to see for Tomb Raider the series never had an official television show after nearly three decades. There has been rumors on the internet that a brand new anime series in the world of Tomb Raider is supposed to debut on Netflix sometime in the future but the details are still unclear at moment. While a television series involving the Tomb Raider series sounds great on paper there are some minor concerns that hardcore fans of the series would likely be concerned about. When the Last Of Us drama series started back in January 2023 one of its biggest issues involved slow pacing regarding the storytelling aspect of the show. However, a potentialTomb Raider television series sound like something that is unlikely to get boring especially if we end up getting an animated series on Netflix. Honestly, Lara Croft should of had her own animated series at least a decade ago considering how big the Tomb Raider franchise has been from the late 90’s- early 2010’s.
