The recent news regarding the cancellation of E3 2024 & E3 2025 is something that has recently been making headlines across various gaming websites as of late. It should not come as a surprise that the E3 2024 & E3 2025 events are being cancelled; especially considering how E3 2023 was cancelled due to companies like Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo pulling out of the event. At this point E3 events have become pointless especially since companies like Nintendo and Sony do their own showcases online to reveal their upcoming games. E3 events had been slowly decreasing in popularity throughout the 2010’s and from 2020 onwards its been almost non-existent with the exception of 2021. The cancellation of E3 events signifies the end of an era but its not something that going to have a significant effect on the gaming industry for better or worse. The Los Angeles Touring Department stated that E3 events are not expected to return anytime soon despite the end of the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite, recent cancellation it has not been confirmed that E3 is officially dead the Entertainment Software Association.
