It seems like 2023 has been an exciting year thus far in relation to video game news and releases. While we got to see the release of high profile gams like Street Fighter 6, Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom along with Diablo IV we have other titles like Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos which is set to appear on multiple game systems in Fall 2023. The Harvest Moon series has been around for over 25 years now and its arguably the most popular farm-simulation franchise of all-time. Since 1996, the Story of Seasons franchise has evolved significantly and has attracted many people to the farm simulation genre of gaming within the past few decades. This upcoming installment will allow players to explore the fictional world of Anthos where players could venture through five different towns while being able to provide care to livestocks and keep pets such as cats and dogs. The backstory surrounding Anthos is that a volcanic eruption caused the villages within the world to be cut off from one another ten years prior to the setting of the game. The world of Anthos was saved by a Harvest Goddess and her Harvest Sprites before she fell into a deep sleep. The story for Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos is more intriguing than some of the previous installments of the Story of Seasons franchise and is expected to be released for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch and PC on September 26th.
