Everyone is still talking about the PlayStation Showcase that took place on May 24th. One of the few announcements that took place the at the PlayStation Showcase involved Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. Everyone knows that Metal Gear Slid 3: Snake Eater is a remake of the original game that appeared on the PlayStation 2 back in 2004. When it comes down to the actual trailer for Metal Gear Solid 3: Remake we did not get to see any actual gameplay but we got a glimpse what to expect in this version of the action-adventure stealth classic. One of the most shocking things about this upcoming remake of Metal Gear Solid 3 is that the original director for the game Hideo Kojima will not be involved in the creation of this game. As many people know Hideo Kojima and Konami had a fallout years ago following the release of Metal Gear Solid V back in 2015. While Metal Gear Solid V was critically acclaimed and reached at least 7 million units in sales the game had a $80 million budget. Kojima wanted more money for a potential Metal Gear Solid VI but things never materialized between him and Konami and both parties went their separate ways. While Konami still own s the license for the Metal Gear Solid series seeing a remake without Kojima’s involvement seems a bit strange. But since Konami is remaking Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater its likely that they eventually to the same thing with MGS4: Guns of the Patriots sometime in the future. While remakes of classic games are always exciting hardcore fans of the Metal Gear Solid series want to see a brand new entry which is something that is unlikely to happen unless Hideo Kojima and Konami are able to back on good terms with one another. As far as Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is concerned there is no official release date for the game just yet; but many believe that it will be released sometime in 2024 since next year will mark the 20 year anniversary of the original MGS3 game.
