It’s hard to believe that the Grand Theft Auto series is two decades old along with the fact that the very first game started off on the PS1 back in the late 90’s.  The game looked very different back then especially with the overhead camera view that DMA Design utilized when developing the game.  However, the amount of fun that players had in causing mayhem and destruction throughout the same is not too different from any other Grand Theft Auto game that followed after the original game.

Even though, the original Grand Theft Auto game is not quite as popular as some of its predecessors such as Grand Theft Auto Vice City and San Andres the game had manged to be a success as far as sales are concerned.  Since its release the original Grand Theft Auto game has managed to sell over two million units worldwide on the PS1.
