Shortly after Metroid: Samus was released for the Nintendo 3DS back in September 2017 it was considered to be one of the most popular titles in America along with some other countries.  Even though, Metroid: Samus Returns is considered to be a 3DS exclusive there are some who believe that the game could have been more popular on the Nintendo Switch.

In fact the only reason why Metroid: Seamus Returns is a Nintendo 3DS exclusive is because Nintendo has plans on releasing Metroid Prime 4 for the Switch console in the future.  While 2D gameplay of Samus Returns does provide a sense of nostalgia in relation to older titles for the NES, SNES and even the Game Boy Advance the next big Metroid game for the Switch should definitely fulfill the wishes that players have in relation to a sequel for Metroid Prime 3 before having any idea of releasing a game like this for one of the hottest consoles of 2017.
