The original House of the Dead game was something that many people were interested in back in the 90’s.  At arcade centers players would utilize countless coin to try to get through each stage without losing a life.  House of the Dead was originally released in the Fall of 1996 before being released worldwide in arcade centers in 1997.  Eventually, House of the Dead was released for the Sega Saturn in the early part of 1998 but since that console was not too popular in America many people may have missed out on playing the home version of the game.

When it comes down to multiplayer gameplay a shooter game like House of the or Dead looks like its better suited for the N64 opposed to the Sega Saturn.  In terms of graphics the  House of the Dead would have definitely been much better on the N64.  But since Wow Entertainment worked with Sega over Nintendo in relation to House of the Dead during the 90’s we never got to see a game in the series for the N64.
