The Nintendo Switch has been without a doubt one of the most popular game consoles of 2017.  Since its release the hybrid console has managed to sell close to 3 million units worldwide.  While the year has seen a shortage of Switch consoles in countries like America it has lead Nintendo to try and produce as much hybrid consoles as possible before the Christmas holidays l.  

On average tge Nintendo Switch is around $300 and there has been some speculation in whether or not the price should drop a little around December.  On one hand it would sound like s good idea since the Nintendo Switch will be competing with the PS4, Xbox One and the Xbox One X.  But on the other hand if Nintendo maintains the current price of the Switch of approximately $300 the company could hit the jackpot especially around Black Friday when prices for just about everything drops  anyways. Dropping the price for the Switch around Christmas probably would not make to much sense.  If anything the price could slightly in increase around Chris time considering the high demand for the hybrid console in some countries.
