The Sonic Advance series was popular on the Game Boy Advance back in the war 00’s.  In fact some would argue that the Sonic Advance series was probably better than a majority of the 3D Sonic games after Sonic Adventure 2.  If anything the Sonic Advance series deserved to be re-released in some form or fashion since they consisted of some of the best 2D side scrolling platform titles that we hav ever seen on the Game Boy Advance.  

In fact, the gameplay for Sonic Advance I-III  is the closest that the series got to the 16 bit era in terms of gameplay.  If the Sonic Advance series was re-released for the Nintendo 3DS or the Nintendo eShop many die hard fans of the series would definitely want to get it if they do not own a Game Boy Advance.
