It’s hard to believe that theSpyro the Dragon series started back in the Fall of 1998.  This action adventure platform title was developed by Insomniac Games and has bee considered to be one of the most memorable 3D platform titles for the PS1 during the 90’s.  While having a 3D platform title for the 32 bit PS1 console was pretty cool some wonder what the game could have been like for the Nintendo 64.

The N64 had better graphics along with turning games such as Banjo Kazooie into big names in relation to the platform genre.    It seems like Spyro the Dragon would have been a perfect fit for the Nintendo 64 however the game could have easily been overshadowed by titles such as Super Mario 64.  The fact that Spyro the Dragon was released on the PS1 is what made the game as successful as it is.  If it was released for the N64 Spyro the Dragon might not have been as popular despite having better graphics.
