To this day many people may find it shocking that Sailor Moon Another Story was never released in America back in the 90’s for the SNES.  Considering how popular the show was back in the 90’s this game could have definitely done well in terms of sales.  The only problem was by the time this games was released in the Fall of 1995 in Japan the PS1 started to become very popular.  Many people in America were turning away from 2D gaming and had stronger desire for 3D gaming.

If Sailor Moon Another Story was released in America a few years earlier it could have possibly been a major success especially considering the fact that the game included non canon villains along with characters who were not introduced until season three  of the series.

Sailor Moon Another Story was one of the very few RPG titles were players could have up to five characters in battle at once which was very interesting.  Also the idea of having alternate endings depending on how players completed the game added to the replay value of this title overall.  When it comes down to SNES classics many people would argue that Sailor Moon Another Story was a hidden gem as far as the RPG genre is concerned.
