The fact we got to see a Sonic the Hedgehog 4 on home based game consoles such as PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 back in 2010 was pretty cool.  However, the idea of making Sonic the Hedgehog 4 a 2D game with 3D graphics was something that many people were no satisfied with.  For some reason many people preferred the 2D sprites from 16 bit era to b featured in Sonic the Hedgehog 4.

While Sonic 4 was a pretty good game for consoles like the PS3 and the Xbox 360 the game itself was not quite as popular as its predecessor Sonic the Hedgehog 3 which was released for the Sega Genesis back in 1993.  In Sonic the Hedgehog 3 we saw the introduction of Knuckles the Echidna along with the fact that the King of Pop Michael Jackson took part in developing the soundtrack for that particular game.  Even though, many were excited about the release of Sonic the Hedgehog 4 in 2010 it pales in comparison to Sonic the Hedgehog which was far more popular in the early 90’s.  Even though, many people liked Sonic 4 it probably would have been more of a success if it was similar to Sonic Mania.
