There are so many things to look forward to this fall including the release of the SNES Classic.  The SNES Classic will feature 16 bit gems such as Super Mario World, Legend of Zelda Link to the Past, Super Metroid, F-Zero and others.  Star Fox 2 which was originally set to be released in 1995 before being canceled will finally be available in September 2017.

The reason why the release of Star Fox 2 is such a big deal is because many people have been saying for over two decades that the original 16 bit Star Fox game deserved an SNES sequel following its cancellation.  If anything Star Fox 2 will probably be the only “new” game for the SNES Classic Edition that was never released on the original 16 bit console back in the 90’s.  For those who enjoyed the very first Star Fox game the sequel looks more promising than the original game making the SNES Classic worth buying.
