Despite, the fact that Super Bomberman R was well received by most critics there are some who believe that Super Bomberman R should have been ported for more game consoles other than the Nintendo Switch. When Super Bomberman R was first released back in March 2017 the game had reportedly sold over 127,000 units within its first week on the Nintendo Switch.

There is a good chance that Super Bomberman R could have done much better in terms of sales if it was ported for multiple game consoles other than the Nintendo Switch.  However, considering the fact that maze genre of gaming is not as popular as it use to be Super Bomberman R could have easily tanked on game consoles such as the PS4 and the Xbox One.  The Bomberman series started of one the NES back in the early 80’s and was mainly popular on Nintendo based console since then.  If anything making Super Bomberman R an exclusive title for the Nintendo Switch was one of the things that revived the interest that retro gamers had in the series.
