Since its inception the Splatoon series has become one of the best third person shooters for Nintendo based console.  Recently, the world has witnessed the release of Splatoon 2 for the Nintendo Switch and while it’s catching the eyes of many gamers who are fans of the series some are wondering whether or not the original title will ever be ported for the Nintendo Switch.  The original Splatoon was released exclusively for the Nintendo Wii-U back in 2015.

Despite, the fact that the Wii-U was not as successful as the original Wii console or the Nintendo Switch Splatoon 1 did great in terms of sales for that console.  Since its release the original Splatoon game had managed to sell close to 5 million units worldwide which shows how popular the first game was.  Right now, Nintendo seems to be focusing mainly on Splatoon 2 along with the features included with game involving the Nintendo Switch online app.l which allows features such as voice chat through smartphones.  It would be cool if the Splatoon game was ported for the Nintendo Switch or made available for the Virtual Console in the future.  But as of right now Splatoon 2 is the game that Nintendo Switch should check out now especially if they are fans of the third person shooter genre.
