Its hard to believe that Sonic Colors was release 25 fifteen years ago for the Nintendo Wii. Sonic Colors is one of the few 3D installments within the Sonic series that stood out because it was not nearly as bad as the games that came before it. Sonic Colors from 2010 was way better than the likes of Sonic 2006, Sonic Unleashed, Sonic and the Secret Rings along with Sonic and the Black Night. Sonic Colors actually had an interesting story which involved Eggman kidnapping alien creatures known as Wisps in order to carry out his sinister plot. The aesthetics and the level designs for Sonic Colors looked magnificent and was on par with that of Sonic Adventure 2. The soundtrack for Sonic Colors along with stages like Starlight Carnival, Game Land, Aquarium Park and Tropical Resort were amazing. Sonic Colors was probably one of the most underrated platform titles for the Wii console back in the early 2010’s.

Since its release on the Wii console back in 2010 Sonic Colors had reached at least 1.6 million copies in sales. There are many who believe that Sonic Colors could have ended up selling more if was not released the same year that Super Mario Galaxy 2 came out. Since its release Sonic Colors had received a cult following within a gaming community during the 10’s decade. The popularity of Sonic Colors eventually lead to Sega remastering the game in 4K back in 2021 for multiple game systems. Sonic Colors was definitely a game that deserved a direct sequel because it would been better than that awful Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric video game that we got in 2014.
