Its hard to believe that its been almost fifteen years since Sonic Rush was released for Nintendo DS back in 2005. Sonic Rush is quite possibly one of the most underrated Sonic games from the 2000’s decade. Sonic Rush had huge stages, fast gameplay and ended up being more fun than it should have been. Sonic Rush was the game where Blaze the Cat was introduced as a boss character. The graphics for Sonic Rush looks terrible by today’s standards but it was seen as one of the better Sonic 3D titles that Sega had produced during the 2000’s. Even though, the story for Sonic Rush could have been better it was not quite as bad as Sonic the Hedgehog 2006. Sega is not too big on remaking older video games so seeing a remastered version of Sonic Rush seems unlikely. While Sega did remake Sonic Generations its obvious that the game was way more popular in the early 10’s than Sonic Rush was back in the mid 2000’s. Also, there are more old-school Sonic games from the 90’s and 2000’s that are more deserving of remakes. There are many people who believe Sonic Adventure 2 should got a remake years ago. Also, the Sonic Advance trilogy is something that many would still love to see re-released sometime in the future. Sonic Rush did not have the same level of mainstream appeal that games like Sonic Generations or Sonic Mania did. If Sonic Rush were re-released today it probably would not be a big deal since many people have seemingly forgot about Sonic Rush.
