When it comes down to high profile first person shooter games of the early 2010’s Battlefield 3 was quite possibly one of the most memorable video games outside of the Call of Duty franchise. Battlefield 3 had everything one could ask for in a shooter game including a solid campaign mode along with co-op gameplay and a variety of different multiplayer game options. Battlefield 3 had multiplayer game modes like Vanilla, Armored Kill, Close Quarters and Back to Karkand. Along with giving players a variety of gameplay options Battlefield 3 had was praised for its visual presentation, explicit dialogue and cinematic cutscenes. Since its release Battlefield 3 has managed to reach around 15 copies in sales and is quite possibly one of the greatest games to have ever have been published by Electronic Arts. Its strange how Electronic Arts never remastered Battlefield 3 especially since its probably one of the best games the produced during the 2010’s decade. Despite, the Battlefield franchise being unable to compete with Call of Duty in relation to popularity and mainstream appeal the game from 2011 is still something that many people have fond memories about. Battlefield 3 may not have been able to compete with the first two Call of Duty: Black Ops games from 2010-2012 in terms of popularity but its better than most of the first person shooter games that we have seen since the start of 2020. A remastered version of Battlefield 3 is something that Electronic Arts can hopefully but on their priority list within the few years especially since Battlefield 2042 from 2021 was massive a flop.
