When we think about strange yet underrated fighting games from the 90’s decade World Heroes is one of the few games that comes to mind. World Heroes Perfect was developed and published by ADK Corporation and was released exclusively for Neo Geo MVS back in 1995. World Heroes Perfect was a game that looked like a cross between Super Street Fighter II: Turbo and Fatal Fury 2 in terms of gameplay, characters and even graphics to some extent. World Heroes had a very basic story that involved a world tournament being organized by a scientist named Dr. Brown who used a time machine to gather random fighters from different time periods in the world. World Heroes Perfect had a small roster of character that included around nineteen different characters featuring the likes of Kim Dragon, Rasputin, Hanzo, Muscle Power, Jeanne D’ Arc and others who all had their own specific character.

The diversity in World Heroes Perfect in relation to the characters is one of the few things that makes World Heroes Perfect stand out because each one had their own gimmick. Even though, the story is very random and unbelievable it still looked like it would be both fun and challenging to play. There were thousands of people in North America who did not get to play World Heroes Perfect because there were so many high profile fighting games from the 90’s that overshadowed anything on the Neo Geo during that period. World Heroes Perfect came out the same year titles like Tekken 2, Mortal Kombat 3 and Street Fighter Alpha were released which were among the most popular fighting games of the mid 90’s. World Heroes Perfect was not nearly as popular as the Fatal Fury games that came out during the 90’s decade and its something that many people forget about altogether.
