Cream the Rabbit is a character from the Sonic the Hedgehog that has been irrelevant since the 2000’s. The very first game Cream appeared in was Sonic Advance 2 from 2002 and also appeared on the Sonic X anime series from ’03-’05. Cream the Rabbit was a soft spoken six-year old rabbit who was thrown into the mix of Sonic characters involved in the storyline of taking down Dr. Eggman. Cream the Rabbit was generally featured as a flying-type character similar to that of Tails but she never seemed to connect with the audience like other Sonic characters. After the 2000’s Cream the Rabbit pretty much became an afterthought and was replaced by a new character known as Sticks in later Sonic games that came out during the 2010’s like Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice. It should also be noted that Cream was absent from the Sonic Boom TV series which lasted from ’14-’17. Despite, how unpopular Cream the Rabbit has been in the Sonic series she quite possibly more popular than Sticks the Badger. However, neither Sticks or Cream is featured in the new Sonic Prime anime which started in late 2022. Also, Cream was no where near as popular as other characters like Shadow the Hedgehog or Rouge the Bat back in the 2000’s or even right now for that matter. Cream the Rabbit had arguably reached her peak in popular during the first half of the 2000’s decade and Sega does not seem to have any big plans to include her in a brand new Sonic game anytime in the near future.
