Tekken 8 is probably one of the most anticipated video games as it relates to 2024. We have seen numerous trailers for Tekken 8 between 2022-2023 and its shaping to be one of the best entries within its series. We know that Tekken 8 is supposed to be released for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and PC in January 2024 and many people believe that it has “Best Video Game of the Year” potential in relation to next year. Tekken 8 is not going to be released for the Switch console mainly because Nintendo’s game systems cater more towards children while the PS5 and Xbox Series X are more for adults. Also, the Tekken series has been absent from Nintendo consoles since the 90’s because it appealed more to casuals on almost every PlayStation console within the past 25 years. Tekken 8 on the Nintendo Switch is something that would definitely turn heads within the gaming world; but it would unlikely be a best seller on that console because its not a first party game like Super Mario Odyssey or The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Tekken 8 probably would not look as great on the Switch console as it would on the PlayStation 5 or PC but the idea is something that sounds intriguing. If Bandi Namco does not port Tekken 8 to Switch then porting older installments like the three Tekken games from ’94’-’98 to Nintendo’s eighth generation console would be pretty cool.
