The 2D platform genre of gaming was arguably at its best back in the 90’s and games like Dynamite Headdy are one that often goes in to be unappreciated.  When it comes down to the platform titles for the Sega Genesis Dynamite Headdy is often admired for its creativity which makes the game stand out from titles such as Sonic the Hedgehog and Super Mario Bros.

The idea of a plot containing puppetry in a platform game was something that was unheard of back in the late 80’s and early 90’s as far as platform gaming was concerned.  Also, the graphics and the gameplay for Dynamite Headdy seemed like something that could have easily have worked on the SNES as well.  The series of power ups available throughout the game along with the variety of stages which are considered to be scenes had contributed to the overall replay value of Dynamite Headdy in general.
