The Xbox One X is supposed to come out in November of 2017 and as of right now there are hardly any exclusive titles for the console itself.  Even though, Gears of War 4 was released back in October 2016 many people are already looking forward to a sequel for the title. 

Since its release Gears of War 4 has reportedly sold over 3 million units worldwide and was considered to be a huge success for the Xbox One since its release last year.  As of right now we have heard nothing about a potential sequel since it’s still to soon.  However, if there is ever a Gears of War 5 then it should be an Xbox One X exclusive opposed to being backwards compatible with the Xbox 360.  Making a potential Gears of War 5 exclusive to the Xbox One X will make more people want to buy the console itself.  Besides making the sequel to Gears of War 4 an Xbox One X exclusive will only add to the value of the game if the developers decide for the latest game in the series decides to work on the sequel.
