There are many people who have been familiar with the Sim City series since it first started in 1989.  However, there are not too many people who may be familiar with Sim City 64 was developed by HAL Laboratory and released exclusively in Hapan on the Nintendo 64 back in 2000. As a city simulation building game Sim City 64 was visual impressive for the N64.

However, if Sim City 64 was released in America during the year 2000 the game definitely would have been overshadowed by so many different things.  In the year 2000 the world got to witness the release of the PS2 which now know as one of the best selling game consoles of all time. Also, prior to the year 2000 Sega Dreamcast was starting to grown in popularity since more people began to favor 128 bit game due to superior graphics and gameplay it featured.    If Sim City 64 was released a few years earlier it could have possibly worked in America since the N64 was still popular especially arithmetic mid 90’s.
