Since Mass Effect Andromeda was released back in March 2017 the game has been both praised and criticized for various different reasons.  While people loved the visuals and combat Mass Effect Andromeda had to offer the game had seemingly paled in comparison to Mass Effect 1-3.  Also, the lack of single-player expansion packs is something that many people have a hard time understanding.

While some aspects Mass Effect Andromeda was well received others have seemingly made fans of the series lose interest all together.  It was recently reported that EA Boss Patrick Soderlund has mentioned that the series will be taking a hiatus for the time being.  While Mass Effect Andromeda has received accolades from the Golden Joystick & Global Game Awards for being the most wanted game in 2016 some might argue that it was a little bit overhyped.  If this is indeed the last Mass Effect game that we will see in a while then it could potentially make Mass Effect Andromeda a more attractive title to have years from now.
