There is no doubt that Nintendo has received a ton of mainstream attention this year due to the release of Nintendo Switch. Also the release of the SNES Classic Edition is something that many people are looking forward to in September 2017.  Since the NES Classic was released back in November 2016 it seems like Nintendo has grabbed the attention of not only retro gamers but also the gaming world in general.

Since then the Nintendo has only managed to gain more momentum and popularity following successful launch of the Nintendo Switch which has managed to sell over 4.7 million units worldwide since its release back in March 2017.  Also games such as Mario Kart 8 deluxe and Arms has managed to sell millions of copies worldwide within a short period of time.

The SNES Classic Edition promising with games such as Zelda: Link to the Past, Super Mario World, Mega Man X, Super Metroid and others that are all set to be available for this console in September 2017.  While Nintendo as a company has so much momentum right now going to 2018 the only minus for 2017 would probably be their issue with Gamevice in regards to the joy con controllers.   Other than the issue with Gamevice the positives for Nintendo seem to outweigh the negatives for the year 2017.
