Could Super Mario Galaxy have worked on GameCube during the 00’s?

Super Mario Galaxy

When it comes down to action adventure platform games Super Mario Galaxy was arguably one of the best titles of that genre back in the 00’s.  Since its release for the Nintendo Wii Super Mario Galaxy has reportedly sold over 12 million units worldwide which is very impressive but at the same time not to surprising to many people.  If Super Mario Galaxy was also released for the Nintendo GameCube the sales for the GC version of the game would have definitely paled in comparison to that of the Wii.  Ever since the Nintendo Wii was released back in the Fall of 2006 it was a big attraction to many gamers especially with the inclusion of the Wii remote and nunchucks.  By 2007, the Nintendo GameCube was starting to get old but it was still a console that some people would love to play.

However, if Super Mario Galaxy was also released for the Nintendo GameCube the quality of GC port would definitely have been more inferior compared to that of the Nintendo Wii.  Besides the Nintendo Wii was discontinued in 2007 anyways so having Super Mario Galaxy for the Nintendo GameCube would not have made to much sense anyways.
