Splatoon 3 is one of the most highly anticipated third person shooter games for the Nintendo Switch as it relates to ’22 and many people have been talking about for past few years now. The reveal trailer for Splatoon 3 came this past year back in February 2021 and since then many people have been ecstatic about what they saw and was announced to be within in game. One of the biggest features that has been confirmed for Splatoon 3 is Turf War mode which will enable 4-v-4 battles along with single-player campaign and the co-op Salmon Run gameplay option. Splatoon 3 will be the third major installment within the series since the second title which came out back in ’17. While the last first two Splatoon games were both commercial successes the latest installment sold more with the ’17 installment reaching over 12 million units in sales worldwide on the Nintendo Switch. The first Splatoon game that appeared on the Wii-U sold roughly under five million copies in sales meaning that the sequel sold more about triple of what its predecessor did. Its hard to predict how much Splatoon 3 will sell following its upcoming release later this year but it would be impressive it manages to surpass its prequel from ’22 onwards. The confirmed released date for Splatoon 3 is September 9th and is set to appear exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
