When we think about high profile games fro the early 00’s one of the many titles that people instantly think about is Halo: Evolved which was released on Xbox back in November 2001. As far as first person shooter games are concerned Halo: Combat Evolved is considered to be legendary by most gamers because it was one of the first highly successful titles within it genre as it pertains to the 2000’s. Halo: Combat Evolved was a game that was considered to be one of the most popular games of ’01 and was critically acclaimed as it remained a huge attraction throughout 2002. While Halo: Combat Evolved was initially available for Microsoft Windows back in 2003 there were not too many people who were expecting a re-release on Steam. The cool thing about the Steam release of Halo: Combat Evolved is the fact that it has the graphics from the Halo: Anniversary Collection that appeared on Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows in 2011.

Its actually a pretty good move having Halo: Combat Evolved on Steam especially since more people are PC users now than ever before. It should also be noted that the popularity home console gaming may eventually decline within the 20’s decade which might make PC & mobile video games more attractive in general. While the landscape of gaming has changed since the early 00’s its questionable on much of an attraction Halo: Combat Evolved will be on Steam. There has been so many big shooter games that we have seen within the 10’a decade such as Fortnite & Overwatch which came out few years ago and remain popular among fans of the shooter genre. However, despite the fact that Halo: Combat Evolved was released almost 20 years ago the Steam version of the game would still most likely appeal to those who have been hardcore fans of the series since the 00’s.
