The Xeno series has been around since ‘98 and seems like the series has only got better over the past two decades. Especially, considering the fact that Xenoblade Chronicles 1 & 2 have been very successful on Nintendo consoles during the 2010’s decade. The latest installment within the series that we got was Xenoblade Chronicles: Definite Edition which came out in 2020 for the Nintendo Switch. However, since the Definitive Edition of Xenoblade Chronicles was a remastered version of a game from 2010; the last real game we got was Xenoblade Chronoicles from late-2017. In the late 10’s Xenoblade Chronicles 2 was one of the most successful Action RPG’s for the Nintendo Switch reaching roughly over 2 million copies in sales. Since then many people have wondered whether or not Monolith Soft and Nintendo have any plans on releasing a sequel for Xenoblade Chronicles 2. There were rumors swirling around back in August 2021 that Xenoblade Chronicles 3 was within its final stages of development despite not being officially announced yet. If the rumors are true we are most likely going to see the release of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 sometime between 2022-2024 for the Nintendo Switch. Hopefully, Nintendo will confirm these rumors sometime in ‘22 and we learn more details about this upcoming game which is most likely going to be an Action RPG as well.
