Should Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe be remastered?

When we think about intriguing yet highly underrated crossover games to have emerged within the past fifteen years or so one of the few titles that instantly comes to mind is Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe from 2008. Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe was surprising created by Midway Games and featured a star studded roster of iconic characters including Superman, Batman, Joker, Liu Kang, Scorpion, Sub-Zero and Sonya Blade. The story for Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe was rather unique and revolved around both the MK & DC coming to together due to both Darkseid and Shao Kahn merging into one being. The main villain for the game was Dark Kahn and the element involving Kombat Rage kept the story fresh and interesting as it caused hallucinations that would characters make characters see their allies as enemies. The story for Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe was more creative than a handful of crossover games that we have seen within the fifteen years and the gameplay exceeded many people’s expectations back in ’08-’09. By late 00’s standards Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe was solid game and arguable one of the best crossover fighting titles of the 2000’s decade. Its shame that a sequel for Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe never got a sequel but we all know its because Midway Games went bankrupt back in 2010. Seeing that NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment have been the producers oft he Mortal Kombat & Injustice series during the 2010’s decade; they are probably the only ones who could make a sequel for MK vs DC Universe happen in the future. However, there are more people who would rather see an Injustice 3 or a Mortal Kombat XII at the moment opposed to another MK vs DC crossover game right now. Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe may never get remastered because Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment obviously does not own the license for the game which would make that task literally impossible.
