Mortal Kombat XII- Will it appear at E3 2023?

As many people know the mortal Kombat series has been around for three decades now and has evolved into one of the biggest video game franchises of all-time. While the first three games within the trilogy from ’92–95 were all iconic arcade classics the latest installments within the series from ’11-’19 were arguably some of the best fighting titles to have emerged from the 10’s decade. Mortal Kombat XI from ’19 was a massive commercial success and it managed to reach at least 12 million copies sold worldwide across multiple gaming platforms including the PS4, Xbox One, PC and the Nintendo Switch. Mortal Kombat XI had almost everything you could ask for in a fighting game including: blood & gore, great storytelling, time travel, top notch voice acting, edgy dialogue and a variety of characters to choose from. The story mode for Mortal Kombat XI was also great because the game had multiple endings which is something that was not common in many previous installments within the MK series. Even though, Mortal Kombat XI is still a huge attraction and many people still play the game in ’22 there are many who are anticipating the upcoming release of Mortal Kombat XII. While its unlikely that Mortal Kombat XII is going to be released anytime soon its almost guaranteed that we are going to see this game from Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios before Injustice 3. Since this year’s E3 event has been cancelled due to surges in COVID-19 cases in America there are many people who wonder whether or not Mortal Kombat XII will appear at E3 2023 next year. Its possible that Mortal Kombat XII could be released next year considering the fact that there has been four year gaps between the releases of MK9, MK10 and MK11 from ’11-’19. Hopefully we will learn more about Mortal Kombat XII sometime later this year or sometime during the first half of 2023.
