When it comes down to the platform genre of video games the Nintendo Wii & Wii-U consoles had some pretty cool titles during the early 10’s.  When it comes down to multiplayer platform games Kirby’s Return to Dream Land was one of the most exciting titles that one could play on any console.  Kirby’s Return to Dream Land was developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo back in 2011.  Since this game was released in managed to sell well over one million units worldwide and is seen by some people as one of the most fun multiplayer platform titles of the early 10’s along with games such as Super Mario 3D WorldKirby’s Return to Dream Land gives people to either of complete the game by themselves versus finishing it with up to four players using co-op mode.  This game gave  people the option to choose multiple characters including Kirby, Meta Knight, Woddle Dee and King Dedede.

Each character has their own health bar and there are numerous battles and boss fights that players engage in through out the game against the likes of Galacta Knight, Grand Doomer, Whispy Woods and Magolor.   One of the coolest things about this game is that the developers were able to find a nice balance between utilizing 2D gameplay with 3D graphics and character design.  It’s not too often that we get four player 2.5 dimensional platform games such as Kirby’s Return into Dream Land.  The cutscenes in this game were also impressive despite the lack of voice acting.   The dialogue between characters along with the cutscenes did a great job in terms of storytelling without voice acting which makes this game stand out similar to some of the Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword.     Kirby’s Return to Dream Land is one of the most exciting titles within the Kirby series and a game that one must have if they are fans of the platforming genre.
