As far as blockbuster announcements from E3 2019 are concerned there were many that the world got a chance to see at the event this year. While CD Project had revealed that Cyberpunk 2077 had been pushed back to the dismay of many people we also learned that we will finally be getting a Switch port of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt sometime this year. As far as an official release date for the Switch version of The Witcher 3 is concerned that is something that has yet to be revealed. We do know that the “Game Of The Year” Edition which features the Hearts of Stone along with the Blood and Wine expansion packs will be featured in the Switch version of the Witcher 3. Out of all the entries of the Witcher series dating back to 2007 when the very first game came out many people have argued that Witcher III: Wild Hunt was quite possibly the best. In fact, The Witcher III: Wild Hunt is considered to be one of the top Action-RPG’s of the 10’s decade.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has been praised mainly for its robust combat system in addition to other features such as its narration, world design along with the inclusion of various side-quests. On the Nintendo Switch The Witcher 3 will undoubtedly become one of the top attractions in relation to games within the Action-RPG genre in general. As it currently stands CD Projekt has not given us an official release date for the Switch port of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt but hopefully it will be this year and not pushed back until 2020 similar to Cyberpunk 2077.

Will the remake of Zelda: Link’s Awakening be as popular as the original?

As many people know the The Legend Of Zelda: Link’s Awakening: Remake is set to be released later this year in September 2019 for the Nintendo Switch. For those who do not know Link’s Awakening is a 90’s Classic that was initially released for Game Boy back in 1993. Since its release Link’s Awakening has been seen as one of the most popular entries ever within the Zelda series and eventually went on to sell approximately 5 million units worldwide by the early 00’s. Since the release of Link’s Awakening many people have wondered whether or not Nintendo was ever going to develop a high definition remake of the game for past 10-15 years. Since we are now getting a modernized version of Zelda: Link’s Awakening its something that can appeal to both retro and contemporary gamers who currently own a Nintendo Switch.

As far as whether or not the newest version of Link’s Awakening will be as popular as the original is something that remains to be seen. The Nintendo Switch has arguably been as popular within the past two years as Game Boy was back in the 90’s. But as far as sales are concerned it would not be surprising if Zelda: Link’s Awakening sold over one million copies worldwide within its first month seeing how much attention the game has been getting since E3 2019.

Will Polymega hurt the Sega Mega Drive Mini in sales?

As many people know the Polymega and the Sega Mega Drive Mini are two of the biggest retro consoles that we are going to see released in 2019. While people have been waiting for the Sega Mega Drive Mini since 2018 the announcement of the Polymega is something that caught many people by surprise at E3 2019. In fact, the Polymega give players way more options in relation to gameplay than the Mega Drive Mini since they will have the opportunity to play video games from various different 80’s 90’s consoles such as NES, SNES, Sega Saturn, PS1, etc. In fact, the option to play old school Sega Genesis games will also be available to those who decide to purchase the Polymega for $249 as well. While the Polymega May be more expensive in America than the Sega Mega Drive Mini which will be priced at $79.99 it seems a like a bigger attraction as far as retro game systems are concerned.

The Mega Drive Mini was developed mainly to compete with the likes of the SNES Classic from September 2017 or the PS1 Classic released back in December 2018. However, the Mega Drive Mini definitely has several games that hardcore fans of the 16 bit console would still purchase. Also, the Sega Mega Drive Mini would also make for a great collectors item especially after its eventual discontinuation similar to that of the SNES Classic.

Upcoming Games- Contra Rouge Corps: (2019)

As far as upcoming games are concerned many people were shocked and excited to find that Konami will finally release another Contra game later this year. The cool thing about Contra Rouge Corps is the fact that the setting for the game will take place several years following the events of Contra III : Alien Wars which was popular back in the early 90’s following its release in 1992. It should also be noted that Contra: Rouge Corps will have similar gameplay to Alien Wars with the top down run and gun gameplay but only in 3D and with new characters. In addition, to having a single player campaign mode Contra: Rouge Corps will have a co-op multiplayer mode both online and locally which will only add to the replay value of the game even more so than Contra III: Alien Wars.

For years many people thought that the Contra series was dead especially considering the fact that the last time we saw a new entry within the series was 2011 when Hard Corps: Uprising was released. The fact that Konami decided to revive this legendary run and gun series with a new 3D title is something that has many fans of the series on the edge of their seats. As it currently stands Contra: Hard Corps is curt set to be released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Microsoft Windows this upcoming Fall in September 2019. It will be interesting to see how successful Contra: Hard Corps will become following its upcoming release later in 2019.

Upcoming Games- Watch Dog Legion: (2020)

As far as impressive gameplay and trailers were concerned in relation to E3 2019 many would probably agree that Watch Dogs: Legion was one of the more impressive showings of that event. For those who may not have heard Watch Dog: Legion is an upcoming action-adventure title that will be developed by Ubisoft Toronto and published by Ubisoft which which is set to be released in March 2020 on the 6th of that month. Watch Dogs: Legion is a game that will appear for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows and even Google Stadia next year. Watch Dogs: Legion is a game with a very intriguing plot which focuses on a group hackers trying to battle an authoritarian regime that has taken over the United Kingdom Post-Brexit through surveillance technology. The system that has helped give rise to the new regime in the U.K. is known as ctOS and they face resistance from a group known as Dedsec.

Watch Dogs: Legion is played from a third person perspective and sees players recruiting multiple allies throughout the game to assemble their group of hackers to go against the established authoritarian regime in the United Kingdom. The fictional open world landscape of London is one that looks stunning and the game is one that allows both single and co-op multiplayer gameplay. Watch Dogs: Legion has the potential to be the best action-adventure games of 2020 especially since many would probably agree that it was one of the best titles to appear at E3 2019.

Will Metroid Prime 4 appear at E3 2020?

As many people know Metroid Prime 4 did not appear at E3 2019 this year and that is something that comes as no surprise to many people. It was announced back in January 2019 that Metroid Prime 4 was in redevelopment as Retro Studios the video game developers that worked on the first three titles between 2002-2007 would be working on the upcoming action-adventure title for the Nintendo Switch. There is no doubt that Retro Studios will develop a well polished Metroid game the question that many people have involves when it will be released. Some are hoping for a reveal trailer for Metroid Prime 4 next year at E3 2020 but since redevelopment of the game began only a few months ago many people believe that it will be very unlikely. Metroid Prime 4 is way too early in development and its something that should not be rushed since many people have very high expectations for it.

The Metroid series is one of the most popular ones that Nintendo has next to the likes of Super Mario and The Legend Of Zelda which have all been around since the 80’s. If anything Nintendo should hold the upcoming release Metroid Prime 4 to similar standards to that of Super Mario Odessey or The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild. Once Metroid Prime 4 is released in the future it should end up becoming one of the top selling titles for the Nintendo Switch and a game that has lasting appeal throughout the 2020’s decade. While it would be nice to see a reveal trailer for Metroid Prime 4 in E3 2020 the game itself should be released sometime between 2021-2023.
