Would the original Killer Instinct game have been better off on the PS1?

The first Killer Instinct title was addictive in both arcade centers and the SNES.  Despite, how popular the game was at first it probably would have been better off on the PS1 opposed to the SNES.  After all Killer Instinct was released in the summer of 1995 and around that time period the PS1 was in high demand due to the fact that the 32 bit console provided a better gaming experience for players in general.

Even though, we never got to see the original Killer Instinct game on the PS1 the title was still a success for the SNES by selling over 3 million units worldwide since its release back in 1995.  When it comes down to the fighting genre of gaming things started to become more competitive especially with games such as Tekken, Street Fighter Alpha and others starting to make their mark on the PS1.  Having the original Killer Instinct game on the SNES opposed to the PS1 was probably a good idea in the long run.
