As it currently stands one of the most highly anticipated video games of the 2020’s decade is Grand Theft Auto VI which a game that people around the world have been waiting to see since the mid 10’s. We all know that Grand Theft Auto VI is currently in development considering the fact that we saw leaked gameplay footage online a few months ago. While Grand Theft Auto VI has not yet been officially revealed by RockStar Games many are speculating what game systems GTA 6 will appear on in the future. There are many people who believe that Grand Theft Auto VI should be on multiple game systems similar to GTA V. The reason why Grand Theft Auto V was so popular from 2013 onwards was because the game was available on multiple platforms including the PlayStation 3, PS4, PS5, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Microsoft Windows. Since its release Grand Theft Auto V managed to reach at least 170 million in copies sold worldwide and has earned over $6 billion in revenue. If RockStar Games wants to replicate the success of GTA V it would make more sense to have Grand Theft Auto VI on multiple game systems opposed to it being a PlayStation 5 exclusive. While the PS5 is selling out like crazy in retailers around the world it has yet to reach half of what the PS4 has sold within the past decade. Also, RockStar is a third-party video game company which it does not have to remain loyal to either Sony or Microsoft unlike Activision-Blizzard or Bungie. Hopefully, we will learn more details about Grand Theft Auto VI next year in 2023.
