Doom: The Dark Ages- Bethesda’s Biggest Game Of 2025?

The Doom series has been around more more than 30 years and it still manages to create a buzz every time an new installment is announced. When Doom: The Dark Ages reveal trailer came out on June 9th there were many people who believe that it was one of the best things to come out of the Xbox Games Showcase 2024. The upcoming Dark Ages game will be the first new main installment within the series since Doom Eternal which came out back in 2016. Doom: The Dark Ages will be developed by id Software and will be released for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X along with Microsoft Windows. The trailer for The Dark Ages game look dope and rumors have circulating that the combat within the game is going to be slowed down compared to the fast paced gameplay from Doom: Eternal.

Also, based on the gameplay shown in The Dark Ages trailer certain features like dash and double jump are absent. However, the shield saw that Doom Slayer had was pretty cool and allowed him to decapitate various monsters and demons at high speed. As it currently stands Doom: The Dark Ages has not official release date but its supposed to be released sometime in 2025. There is no question that Doom: The Dark Ages is most likely going to be one of Bethesda’s biggest titles of 2025. However, the year 2025 looks like its going to have some high profile releases that can possibly overshadow Doom: The Dark Ages. There are games like Grand Theft Auto VI, Metroid Prime 4 along with the Fable 2025 reboot that can potentially overshadow the upcoming Doom game next year. However, the name value of Doom alone should lead to reasonable commercial success following the release of The Dark Ages game in 2025.
