Will Soul Calibur 6 surpass Tekken 7 in sales?

As many people know Soul Calibur 6 was one of the most anticipated fighting titles of the 10’s decade following its release back in October 2018. There are many people who are speculating on what type of success Soul Calibur 6 will have in the coming year especially considering the positive reviews it has received from gamers and critics alike since its release. The last Soul Calibur game that we saw was released for the PlayStation 3 for the Xbox 360 back in 2012. While Soul Calibur V was a solid 3D fighting title during the early 10’s the game received a mixed reception for its story mode and managed to sell at least 2.3 million copies worldwide since its release. Soul Calibur 6 has a much better storymife along with improved in-game mechanics and high definition visuals thanks to the Unreal Engine 4.

Speaking of which the Unreal Engine 4 is also the same game engine that was used for Tekken 7 which came out in Japanese arcade centers in 2015 before appearing on the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One worldwide in 2017. Since its release on home consoles it was considered to be one of the most popular fighting games of 2017 alongside Injustice 2. Also, following its release Tekken 7 managed to reach over 2.5 million copies in sales shortly after its release and is still an addictive fighting title for the PS4 and Xbox One today. As it currently stands it hard to tell whether or not Soul Calibur 6 will surpass Tekken 7 or not but it would not be too surprising if it managed to sell at least 2 million copies worldwide within the next year or so. Also, in terms of popularity within the fighting genre of gaming both the Soul Calibur and Tekken series are almost on the same level. Soul Calibur 6 could possibly reach one million copies in worldwide sales before the end of 2019.

Could Team Sonic Racing Rival Mario Kart 8 Deluxe in Popularity?

As many people know Team Sonic Racing is expected to appear on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch in May 2019 which is something many people are looking forward to seeing. Team Sonic Racing is the first major Sonic racing game that we will get to see since 2010 when Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing was released for the PlayStation 3 along with the Xbox 360. Despite, good Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing was back in the early 10’s and how much potential Team Sonic Racing has in the future it’s hard to even fathom that this upcoming title will rival Mario Kart 8: Deluxe in popularity. Mario Kart 8 has been around since 2014 when the game was originally released for the Wii-U.

Ever since, its release back in May 2014 Mario Kart 8 has sold over 8.4 copies worldwide and has managed to become the best selling game for the Wii-U in general. Mario Kart 8: Deluxe released exclusively for the Nintendo Switch has managed to sell over 11 million copies worldwide since its initial release back in April 2017. As of right now Mario Kart 8: Deluxe is the second best selling video game for the Nintendo Switch begin Super Mario Odessey and it does not seem like Team Sonic Racing will have anywhere close to the success that the game had since April 2017.

Will Jump Force become a bigger attraction than Soul Calibur 6 in 2019?

As far as fighting titles for next year are concerned two of the most anticipated games for 2019 includes Jump Force and Soul Calibur 6. Jump Force is a crossover fighting title featuring characters from the Shonen manga series. For those who are fans of popular anime series such as Dragonball Z, One Piece and Naruto this is a game that you have most likely been waiting for since J-Stars Victory VS which came out back in 2015. Jump Force is a 3 on 3 fighting title that has the potential be game of the year once its released in February 2019. However, there has been speculation on whether or not Jump Force will be more of an attraction on consoles such as the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One than Soul Calibur 6.

For those who are unaware Soul Calibur 6 is a game that many people have been waiting to see since 2012 when Soul Calibur V appeared on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Would the development of a disk-less Xbox One console a great idea?

As of right now one of the hottest topics in the gaming world right now involves Microsoft possibility releasing a diskless Xbox One console sometime in the near future. As it currently stands Microsoft had never officially confirmed any rumors regarding the upcoming release of a disc- less Xbox One console but has been well noted that the company had expressed interest in focusing more on streaming in relation to gaming. The idea of a disc-less Xbox One sounds interesting especially if price is lower than that of the Xbox One S which averaged around $299 following its release back in the summer of 2016. In fact, rumors have circulated that the potential price of a disc-less Xbox One would be priced around $199.

The only catch of having a disk-less Xbox One console would be the exclusion of a Blu-ray drive which one of the few features that made the other models appealing following their respective releases. Also, the idea of having a disk-less Xbox One would be appealing in some ways because it could be a feature that makes the console stand out from it competitors such as Sony and Nintendo that requires people to actually buy physical copies of games that they want to purchase. However, some would probably agree that Microsoft should have released a disk-less Xbox One game console years ago despite how it may have been viewed by critics anytime between 2014-2016.

Should Batman: Arkham Origins be ported for the Nintendo Switch?

When it comes down to popular action-adventure titles of the 10’s decade one of the most popular titles that we have seen in relation to superheroes was Batman: Arkham Origins which was initially released for the Wii-U, Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 back in October 2013. Despite, there being technical is with the Xbox 360 version of Arkham Origins the game was still praised by fans and critics of the series for features such as side quests that allows Batman to help police solving crimes while using creative detective skills and advanced gadgets for combating foes. As popular as Batman: Arkham Origins was for the last generation consoles during the early 10’s there are many people who would love to see this game ported to the Nintendo Switch or even the PlayStation 4.

However, Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment has never announced any plans on bringing Batman: Arkham Origins to the Nintendo Switch. A game like Batman: Arkham Origins could possibly standout more on the Nintendo Switch than the PS4 especially since there are many big upcoming releases in the future such as Kingdom Hearts III, Final Fantasy VII: Remake which can potentially overshadow potential a re-release if this action-adventure title.

Could Marvel vs Capcom 3 have been popular in arcade centers?

As many people know Marvel vs Capcom 3 was one of the most popular crossover fighting games of the 10’s. Ever since its release Marvel vs Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds has remained exclusively on the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360. Unlike, its predecessors Marvel vs Capcom 3 never received an arcade release and was still a huge success in countries such as America and Japan due to the fact that the game was at least a decade in the making. If Marvel vs Capcom 3 was released in arcade centers back in the early 10’s the game could have definitely been somewhat of an attraction.

But ever since online multiplayer gameplay became popular back in the mid to late 00’s it almost seemed like there was no point whatsoever on having an arcade version Marvel vs Capcom 3. The arcade era of gaming ended a long time ago somewhere between the late 90’s and the early 00’s. As popular as Marvel vs Capcom 3 was in the early 10’s an arcade version of the game would not have been as exciting as the online multiplayer experience that people had for the PlayStation 3 or the Xbox 360.

Will Epic Games release another Unreal Tournament game in 2019?

As many people already know the Unreal Tournament series has been around since 1999 and is considered to be legendary within the first person shooter genre of gaming. The last major Unreal Tournament game that the world has ever saw was released back in 2007 on Microsoft Windows before being ported to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 the following year. Since then the world has been waiting to see another Unreal Tournament game on either the PlayStation 4 or the Xbox One preferably both for least four years now. Its been noted Epic Games has been in the developmental phase of creating a new Unreal Tournament game since May 2014.

This upcoming Unreal Tournament game will be utilizing the Unreal Engine 4 and is expected to appear on Microsoft Windows, Linux and OS X sometime in the near future. While the release date of this upcoming Unreal Tournament game has yet to be revealed some wonder whether or not Epic Games plans on releasing it sometime in 2019. After all, November 30th of next year will mark the 20th Anniversary of the game and what better way to celebrate it than releasing a brand new entry to the series around that time period.
